Digital Catapult announces Open Innovation Platform

By | June 24, 2014

The Connected Digital Economy Catapult today announced their Open Innovation Platform, a place to collaborate and unlock ideas, create projects and form new partnerships to accelerate the UK digital economy.

The platform is open to individuals, businesses, public sector and research institutions, large and small, to use to collaborate between existing teams, find new partners and mentors and respond to Digital Catapult opportunities.

In their first open call, they aim to establish projects and new nodes within LEP (Local Enterprise Partnership) or involving more than one LEP area, with the aim of delivering new activities that create economic benefit by strengthening research, technological development and innovation and join up local initiatives across universities, business and public sector organisations. Proposals need to demonstrate how the Catapult would add significant value to broader local initiatives.

Successful bids will benefit from Catapult resources and skills, to address local challenges, as well as priority access and use of resources and facilities within the Digital Catapult Innovator Centre.

The Digital Catapult will be issuing further calls via this platform on a regular basis focussing on opportunities across the data value chain:
