Open call for showcases – Digital Catapult Innovator Centre

By | July 21, 2014

Are you a pioneering digital SME? The Connected Digital Economy Catapult is looking for a number of SMEs to showcase in its Innovator Centre during its seven-week launch season this autumn.

The soon-to-open Innovator Centre will provide a physical space where all parts of the data innovation community can connect and collaborate with each other, as well as a whole host of different experts, to help advance their ideas from concept to commercialisation.

Small and medium-sized businesses that demonstrate the best British digital and data innovation will have the chance to become a part of the showcase of SMEs, a central part of the Innovator Centre, and can apply to be part of either the Data Dome, showcasing companies who have used data in innovative ways, or to put a product or demonstration into the Showcase area:

  • The Data Dome – the story of how data is being used in new and interesting ways to support the business community or wider society. As part of a ten-minute audio-visual experience, showcasing companies who have new data innovation ideas that add fresh value to business and public services.

  • Showcase Exhibits – an area of the building that will display the best new British digital products and prototypes, either on physical plinths or on audio-visual screens.

For selected SMEs, this will provide a chance for free promotion of their organisation and/or their products to the 3,500 high-profile representatives from the digital industry, expected during the launch season.

Interested SMEs should apply by 10th August by registering for the call on the Catapult’s recently established Innovation Portal.
