Overview

We work in collaboration with the Connected Digital Economy Catapult and support its projects and priorities by fostering collaboration between researchers and businesses & public sector groups in the digital, Internet, and creative industries in the UK.

Based in the Oxford Internet Institute, the Oxford Digital Economy Collaboration Group (ODEC) was established in August 2013 in response to the TSB initiative in setting up the Connected Digital Economy Catapult.

We work with the Digital Catapult to identify the most pertinent academic research at the University of Oxford and universities across the UK, and to help build collaborations with the public sector and businesses in the digital, Internet, and creative industries.

Currently, our collaborative work with the Catapult focusses particularly on: the Internet of Things (IoT); trust, privacy, cybersecurity, & personal data; data-driven economics & business models; and societal aspects of the digital economy.
